Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your AmberMap account at any time, directly from the app or the website. This page explains how to do it and what data is removed.
How to delete your account
- 1
Log in to your AmberMap account in the app or on ambermap.com.
- 2
Open Settings.
- 3
Select “Delete account”.
- 4
Confirm. Your account and associated data are deleted immediately.
If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first (Settings → Cancel subscription). This prevents further charges — you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, then you can delete the account.
What data is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your login credentials and account record (email, sign-in method);
- your profile and app data (display name, language and notification preferences, saved settings, and subscription details);
- your subscriber record held by our subscription provider, which revokes any premium access.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We do not keep a recoverable copy.
Billing and invoice records held by our payment processor (Paddle) may be retained for the period required by tax and accounting law. These are kept by the payment processor, not used to re-identify you in the app, and are deleted when the statutory retention period ends.
