Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how AmberMap (operated by Konrad Żelazny) uses cookies and similar technologies on ambermap.com.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and provide analytics to the site operator. Similar technologies (localStorage, session storage) serve comparable purposes.

Categories of cookies we use

Essential (always active)

Required for the Service to function. Cannot be disabled.

Firebase Authentication session, locale preference, your cookie-consent choices (cookie_consent), and Vercel security cookies.

Analytics (optional, requires consent)

Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _gat); Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, _cls, MUID). Microsoft Clarity is configured to mask password and payment fields automatically and does not record their content.

Payment / subscription (set only when interacting with checkout)

Used by our payment partners during checkout and subscription management. Set only when you interact with the Pricing page or Paddle overlay.

Paddle (pdl_*); RevenueCat web SDK (localStorage entries for subscriber state).

Retention

  • Essential cookies — for the duration of the session or the validity period set by the auth provider (typically 7–30 days for the auth session).
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics: configured for up to 13 months; Microsoft Clarity: typically up to 13 months.
  • Payment cookies — set per Paddle's policy, typically 30 days; cleared when the browser is closed for session-only entries.

How to manage your preferences

When you first visit AmberMap, a banner allows you to accept all cookies, allow only essential cookies, or customize your choices. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning.
